Hindi meaning of Since and For

Uses of Since and For

Since और For दोनों का ही उपयोग समय बताने के लिए किया जाता है, लेकिन इनमें एक छोटा सा अंतर है।

Since का उपयोग (use of since) कब किया जाता है:

Since का उपयोग निश्चित समय (point of time) को बताने के लिए किया जाता है, जैसे: 2 बजे से, दोपहर से, रविवार से आदि।

For का उपयोग (use of for) कब किया जाता है:

For का उपयोग समय की अवधि (duration of time) को बताने के लिए किया जाता है, जैसे: 4 दिनों से, 5 महीनो से आदि।

Tense में since और For का उपयोग

टेंस की बात करे तो टेंस में since और for का उपयोग (use of since and for in tense) perfect continuous tense में किया जाता है, आइए एक-एक करके इन्हें समझते है।

Present perfect continuous

• Since –
  • He has been playing cricket since morning.
  • Rekha has been studying for exams since 3 o’clock.
• For –
  • I have been running for 2 hours.
  • She has been looking for her watch for half an hour.

6.) कल तक, हम तीन दिनों तक परीक्षा के लिए अध्ययन कर रहे होंगे।
6.) By tomorrow, we will have been studying for the exam for three days.

7.) क्या मेरा दोस्त मुझे पिछले 15 मिनट से कॉल कर रहा होगा?
7.) Will my friend have been calling me for the last 15 minutes?

8.) मैं शाम 6 बजे से आपका इंतजार कर रहा हूं।
